HR Manager
Level 52 Studio
As owner of J Emerald Studio for the past 12 years I have a high work ethic and an attention to minute detail. I know what it takes to get a project from idea to design to completion and have the capacity to thrive in all aspects of production. My attention to the tiniest imperfection pushed me to become specialized in High End/ Hero pieces as I am a perfectionist in my work and thrive on taking projects to the highest level. My main goal as an artist is to bring the joy I find in my work to others, to make the world a better place through art. Id rather be creating than just about anything else and the studio is my happy place. Despite having my own studio I have been longing to just be able to come in and create all day instead of focusing on the business side of things. I love working in a shop with other artists all dedicated to making the most fun and neat art we can and feed off of sharing techniques and helping others. I work well in groups, communicate freely, and have experience working on larger projects where we each take small parts to create a whole. As a skilled and passionate professional with experience in how shops run as well as the doing the work itself I am a positive and fun personality to work with and take suggestions well, art is my life, and I would make an excellent addition to Level 52 Studios as your next proto-type technician
Outside of work I love nature, animals, and have always wanted to live in the Pacific NW, (to be so close to the Olympic Peninsula would be magical for me with all the moss covered trees J). Ive been a cosplayer for many years and tend to make more art and fun chibi animal sculpts/sketches in my spare time. My hair is usually brightly colored and I enjoy open world rpg video games, board game nights, and host a D&D group at my house. Huge fan of fantasy / scifi film and literature. I handle pressure well and tend to look for silver linings in every situation, my outlook on life is to make the best of what there is and not dwell on things that cant be changed.
My qualifications include BFA degrees in Sculpture and Ceramics, with extensive background in post-processing; creating finished costume props from hand sculpted masters, to finishing and painting 3d printed parts. Being an Fx Makeup artist and creating custom appliances to silicone repainting services, as well as a professional moldmaker for other studios around Atlanta and expertise casting with resin, epoxy, foam, and silicones. I also am an educator and have been teaching Moldmaking and FX Makeup courses for our local Smooth On Distributor, The Engineer Guy since 2012, and Maquillage Makeup Academy since 2017. I love being a studio artist and am confident that my talents will significantly benefit Level 52 Studios.
Highlights of my experience include…
· Experience with tight deadlines and ability to problem solve when inevitable issues arise.
· Demonstrating excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and communication skills.
· Remaining up-to-date on current techniques, skills, and tools to make as finely crafted pieces possible.
· Comprehensive Knowledge of materials and staying on top of new products.
· Working with other artists/inventors to create proto-type models and molds.
· Experience working with film in both On Set and in Studio settings to create a directors vision.
· I actually love Sanding.
With my ability to create highly detailed pieces from start to finish, excellent interpersonal skills and time management, passion for creating art and wide skill set as a professional studio artist I feel I would be an excellent addition to your team. I look forward to discussing the position and my qualifications in further detail. Thank you for your consideration.
